Description
Eight motorized, touch sensitive faders are on hand, complete with corresponding push-rotary controls, RGB rubber buttons, and TFT LCD hi-res displays, so you always know what you're monitoring at a moment's glance. You'll find dedicated buttons to control automation settings, as well as assignable soft keys for you to associate with your favorite DAW-based keyboard commands.
Speaking of DAWs, the UF8 offers HUI communication with Pro Tools (giving you Channel and Plug-In mode controls to speed up your workflow), as well as MCU communcation for Logic, Cubase, Studio One, and Ableton Live. Up to three different DAWs can be connected to the controller simultaneously.
The unit itself provides a brushed anodized top plate over an all-metal enclosure for a truly professional feel. A large, notched encoder enables timeline navigation, as well as track banking so all your channels can be covered by these eight faders. However, the UF8 is also expandable: Connect up to four of them, and give yourself up to 32-channels of control within your DAW. The unit connects to your DAW over USB, so you don't have to trouble with other, less common, or more fussy ports.
